Nimbu Pani Margarita w/ Jal Jeera Masala Salt Rim

Ingredients:
Salt Rim:
Coarse salt
Jal Jeera Masala (you can find some at your local Indian grocery store! Spicewalla Chaat Masala would also work in a pinch!)
1/2 Lime
Margarita:
2 oz tequila
2 oz Cointreau
2 oz lime juice
1/4 tsp Spicewalla Roasted Cumin Powder
1/4 tsp Spicewalla Fennel Seed (or fennel powder)
Simple syrup to taste
Coarse salt
Jal Jeera Masala (you can find some at your local Indian grocery store! Spicewalla Chaat Masala would also work in a pinch!)

Margarita:
2 oz tequila
2 oz Cointreau
2 oz lime juice
1/4 tsp Spicewalla Roasted Cumin Powder
1/4 tsp Spicewalla Fennel Seed (or fennel powder)
Simple syrup to taste
Preparation:
- Add coarse salt and Jal Jeera Masala to a shallow bowl or plate. Run a wedge of lime along the rim of a glass and dip the rim into the coarse salt until well covered.
- If using fennel seeds, grind them into a powder.
- Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, Roasted Cumin Powder, Fennel Powder, simple syrup, and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 15 seconds and strain into the jal jeera rimmed glass. Garnish the glass with a lime wedge and enjoy!
