Spice Advice: Garlic & Herb

This is one of the most used and well-loved blends we’ve ever created. Seriously, we go through the stuff. Sometimes we even sneak some right out of the tin. We know it seems simple - Garlic & Herb, how complex could it be? Prepare to get schooled! There’s some serious flavour tinkering going on here, just trust us. In this particular blend we’ve got garlic, parsley, paprika, onion, orange peel, oregano, thyme, rosemary, and chives. You read right: orange peel! You can always count on us to keep it fresh & spicy for ya.

Of course you’ll get that classic hit of pungent, aromatic garlic and onion, quickly followed by the gentle herbaceousness of the oregano, thyme, rosemary and chives. Paprika chimes in with a uniquely piquant essence that also does double-duty while it adds a pleasing hue to anything it graces. Then you’ll see what we mean about the orange peel! Its subtly fruity sweetness really helps temper the richness of the blend as a whole, and honestly you’ll never go back to the plain-jane grocery store shaker stuff again. This stuff is Good. Capital G!

There’s a reason this is one of our all-time favorites. It can legit go on just about anything so long as it’s somewhat savory. It’s like that one pair of shoes that goes with every outfit. This (and every) season’s must-have accessory. Think hot, glistening garlic bread made with a Garlic Herb compound butter and a thick-cut crusty Italian loaf. Make the easiest shrimp scampi of your life - just add linguine, fresh (or frozen) shrimp, butter, white wine and a squeeze of lemon juice! It’s also the perfect little secret ingredient to knead into your next homemade or store bought pizza dough for baked-in, delicious, Italian flavor. Crust haters be warned: you’ll gobble up every last bite.
